Smedegaard UK
In 1982 Smedegaard set up a base in the UK operating from a small unit on the Wylds Road Industrial Estate at Bridgwater, Somerset. In 1988 the company moved to larger premises on the same estate and in the early 90’s the premises had to be substantially extended to accommodate additional staff and manufacturing facilities. The company has continued to grow, improving upon its annual turnover year by year. The Bridgwater factory manufactures a comprehensive range of pressurisation equipment for sealed heating and chilled water systems, together with pressure booster sets covering domestic/commercial, industrial and fire fighting applications. During its twenty three year history, Smedegaard UK has been supplying pumps and pressure/booster equipment for projects such as the refurbishment of Claridges Hotel in London, the Langham Hilton Hotel in London, Honda UK at Slough, the University of Bristol, HM Prisons at various locations in the UK and many other prestigious sites. General Manager, Colin Heal, believes that the company’s success is due to the team spirit within the organisation, technical expertise, rapid response time with quotations and the willingness of sales, administration and workshop personnel to assist in meeting customers’ specific requirements. Smedegaard UK will continue to develop its manufacturing capability, making sure that it can continue its policy of being able to offer the specifier a complete package of equipment specifically designed for the H&V industry. This, together with the overall company policy of producing quality products backed by technical/commissioning expertise, will ensure a steady increase in the UK market share. |
